just when you thought it was safe...

...to stuff your gob full of big foods - heartburn returns to kick your greedy ass. I was actually worried about the no heartburn situation over the past few days. Of course, I have been eating smaller, healthier meals and lo! and behold I was heartburn free.
Today, I am crazy at work and didn't get to eat lunch till 2.30pm and all I could get my hands on was pasta filled with cheese in a cheese sauce. And yes, I have heartburn again.

I guess the carbo loading I just did is not going to help my fatigue!! Which is a little extreme at the moment. I told my colleague to expect me out on maternity leave at the end of July (I am going to use some of my vacation time before the C-section). It is amazing that three weeks ago I could have run up a mountain and today I need to close my eyes and sleep like .... I am growing two babies at once :-)

  1. "Vacation time" before c-section? Huh? Can't your OB write you out of work so it's considered short term disability (which is likely is). You'll need that vacation time when you're back to work and the babies have doctor's visits, etc.

Run up a mountain...wow! I hope I feel like I can do that at any point in time. I have no energy and just feel queasy and/or sleepy. So far, not fun.

  3. You should look into Short Term DIsability, this way you don't have to use your vacation time. Your doctor can write you out at any time now - and you can use your vacation time to extend your maternity leave by that amount. Good Luck!

  4. Ah the awful cruelty of it all, eh? Yep, I was gorging myself on candy corn, Thanksgiving turkey, candy canes and chocolate...then one day I could only eat a quarter plate of food before I felt stuffed! No fair! Baby nudges that stomach right out of the way. So with TWO babes in there...I'm amazed you can eat more than a morsel!
