Pushy New Yorker sets time and date for C-Section

So I have been here too long. I just pushed my doctor into setting a day and time for the C-Section. She agreed to a tentative date August 13th @ 10am

HOLY MOLY !!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe this?? I may meet my kids in 15 days. 15 DAYS. OK need to take some deep breaths. And eat some ice cream.

  2. Wow...what an exciting time. Enjoy these last weeks, days, hours. Spend some time as a couple doing something sweet/fun. And, get a morning of belly shot. It will be a treasure to have down the road.

  5. Excellent job on being pushy. I'm so glad you only have 2 weeks to wait for your little monkeys! I'm so excited to meet them! Enjoy the next 2 weeks. This is the last time you'll feel sane for a while! xoxo

  6. Ohhh, I like pushy! As we know, it's sometimes the only way to get things done! And jeepers, who is going to argue with a 9-months pregnant with twins woman?

A date! A date! So hard to believe it's about to happen! Time to double check the lists, re-check the suitcase, pack a few extra outfits for the babies (one ought to have choices!) and be sure you are VERY familiar with how your car seats operate. The day we brought Bunny home from the hospital, neither DH nor I were entirely comfortable with the car seat's operation...and both of us had a scare trying to get him secured - we thought we pulled the straps too tight and were panicky trying to rememeber under pressure how to release them. Both of us were about to tear the straps with our bare hands until one of us remembered to push the magic button that releases them. (my last bit of assvice :)).

  7. Happy almost last day of work before maternity leave EB! I'm thinking of you this week. . .so exciting.

August 13th is Will's birthday too -- a good day IMHO.

    With love,
    Elizabeth

  8. Hey, um, EB, maybe you already know this and it's not an issue for you...but 8/13 is Friday the 13th. Could your doc possibly section you the day before, or even better yet, on the 11th? Of course I think the 11th is a marevelous day since Bunny was born 3/11.
